Isothermal spheroidization annealing technology
Heating at 770-790 ºC, isothermal at 680-700 ºC, and then cooling in the furnace to below 550 ºC before leaving the furnace for air cooling. The hardness requirement is 187-229HBS, and the process features that the heating temperature should be between Ac1 and Accm. The isothermal temperature should be 20 ºC lower than the Ar1=700 ºC line to obtain a granular pearlite structure.
After quenching and tempering, the hardness is high and uniform, with high wear resistance and fatigue strength. Good heat workability. After spheroidization annealing, it has good machinability but is sensitive to the formation of white spots. Can be used to manufacture various bearing rings with wall thickness ≤ 12mm and outer diameter ≤ 250mm; Also used for rolling elements with a wide range of dimensions, such as steel balls, tapered rollers, cylindrical rollers, spherical rollers, needle rollers, etc; It is also used for manufacturing molds, precision measuring tools, and other mechanical parts that require high wear resistance, high elastic limit, and high contact fatigue strength.
