Aluminized silicon steel is a kind of functional steel with aluminum or aluminum-silicon alloy plated on the surface of silicon steel. It combines the electromagnetic properties of silicon steel with the corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance of the aluminum layer. Corrosion resistance: The aluminum layer forms a dense oxide film in humid, acidic or salt spray environments, and its corrosion resistance is significantly better than that of ordinary silicon steel.
Features
- High-temperature resistance: The melting point of aluminum is relatively high (660ºC), and the coating is not likely to peel off at high temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature environments (such as motors and transformers).
- Electromagnetic properties: It retains the low iron loss and high magnetic permeability characteristics of silicon steel, but the high-frequency eddy current loss may be slightly higher than that of amorphous alloys.
- Weldability: Special processes (such as laser welding) are required to avoid the oxidation of the aluminum layer affecting the welding strength.
- Surface quality: The coating is uniform and smooth, which can reduce friction and wear during stamping processin.
