42CrMo alloy round steel is a high-strength alloy structural steel. Its chemical composition includes a carbon content of approximately 0.38% to 0.45%, a chromium content ranging from 0.90% to 1.20%, and a molybdenum content of 0.15% to 0.25%. Additionally, it contains an appropriate amount of silicon, manganese and other elements. The reasonable proportion of these components endows it with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. This round steel features high strength, high toughness, excellent hardenability and wear resistance. After quenching and tempering treatment, its tensile strength can reach over 1000MPa, and its yield strength can reach around 800MPa. Moreover, it can maintain good stability in high-temperature environments. Therefore, it is widely used in the manufacturing of mechanical parts that bear large loads and impacts. Such as automotive drive shafts, gears, bolts, high-pressure seamless steel pipes, etc. During the production and processing, 42CrMo round steel usually needs to go through forging, rolling, heat treatment and other procedures to further optimize its microstructure and performance, meeting the usage requirements of different working conditions. Meanwhile, due to its excellent processing performance, it is also convenient for subsequent processing operations such as cutting and welding.
