1. One of the main purposes of aluminium-silicon coated steel is to replace galvanized steel, so aluminium silicon coated steel has the similar mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy and plate shape control with galvanized steel.
2. Because the density of aluminium-silicon is lower than that of zinc, the coating weight can be less by using aluminium-silicon coated steel instead of glavanized steel.
3. Aluminium-silicon coated steel has excellent corrosion resistance, several times than that of galvanized steel.
4. Aluminium-silicon steel has good high temperature resistance, there almost isn't any change even during long-time use within 550ºC. The steel plate with aluminium-silicon coating will maintain the bright appearance.
5. Aluminium-silicon has excellent heat reflectivity, with a light reflectance of about 80% when the temperature within 500 ºC.
6. The friction coefficient of aluminium-silicon coated steel is lower, and low friction coefficient is favorable for drawing and forming.
