The main difference between PEN and PET films
lies in their performance characteristics and application areas

Gas barrier:
PEN film has better gas barrier performance, its barrier to water is 3-4 times higher than that of PET, and its barrier to oxygen and carbon dioxide is 4-5 times higher than that of PET. This excellent gas barrier performance makes PEN film especially suitable for beverage and food packaging materials, can greatly improve the shelf life of the product.

Chemical stability:
PEN film has good chemical stability, organic solutions and chemicals show stability, its acid and alkali resistance is better than PET, which makes the PEN film in the face of a variety of chemical environments, can maintain good performance stability.

Thermal properties:
PEN film has excellent thermal properties compared to PET film. PEN's elongation decreases by only 10% after 500 hours in humid air at 130 degrees Celsius, whereas PET becomes brittle and of no practical value under the same conditions.

Mechanical properties:
PEN film has excellent mechanical properties, its tensile strength is about 35% higher than that of PET, and its modulus of elasticity, strength, creep and service life can still remain relatively stable under high temperature and high humidity.

Application areas:
Due to the excellent performance of PEN film, it can replace BOPET and other materials in the high-end field for the manufacture of high-performance packaging materials. In addition, PEN film is used in the manufacture of electronic components such as capacitors to take advantage of its excellent electrical properties and stability.
