Includes Type 1 hot dip aluminum coating provides extended life and additional resistance to automotive muffler condensation and road salt. Type 409 Aluminized Stainless Steel is a ferritic stainless steel enhanced with a Type 1 hot-dip aluminum coating (approximately 91% aluminum and 9% silicon). This unique combination provides superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation, making it an ideal choice for demanding environments such as automotive exhaust systems, industrial components, and more.
