Explosion Bonded
The explosive welding process is capable of joining high surface areas due to its ability to distribute high energy density through explosion. Up to now, similar metals (low carbon steel, steel to steel, Al-Al, stainless steel to steel) , dissimilar metals such as steel and aluminum , steel and titanium, nickel film and aluminum alloys , iron and copper , aluminum, copper and magnesium , copper, titanium and steel , aluminum and copper and also metallic glasses were cladded successfully.

Explosion Bonded& Roll Bonded Clad Plates & Multi-layer Composite Metal Plates
Mesco supply a wide range of explosion bonded, roll bonded and diffusion bonded clad metal plates for chemical processing, pressure vessels, power plants, LNG, cookware, aerospace and other industrial applications.

1. Titanium Clad Steel Plates
Titanium is widely used as a material for various chemical reaction vessels and heat exchangers due to its excellent corrosion resistance. However, the disadvantage is that the cost is relatively high. This problem is particularly prominent when used as a structural component. An effective solution is to use titanium steel clad panels. The clad material of titanium and ordinary steel is called titanium steel clad material. It has the corrosion resistance of titanium and the strength of ordinary steel plate as a structure. The important thing is that the cost has also been greatly reduced. Titanium steel clad plates produced by the explosion bonded are thick plates and are mainly used as corrosion-resistant structural materials. They can be used to produce chemical equipment such as high-purity terephthalic acid equipment and condenser tube sheets used in power generation equipment.
2. Titanium Clad Copper Plates
3. Titanium Clad Aluminum Plates
Titanium metal clad plates include: titanium-steel clad plate, titanium-copper clad plates, titanium-aluminum clad plates, etc., as well as other metal clad materials proposed by users. Titanium metal clad plate not only has the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of precious metals, but also has good weldability, extensibility, formability, deep processing performance and thermal conductivity, which can greatly reduce costs.

Performances of Stainless Steel Clad Plate
Stainless Steel Clad Plates
The carbon steel and stainless steel usually form a metallurgical bond during heating and rolling by hot rolling or explosion bonding or the combination of both and the standard method of producing clad steel is hot roll cladding method.
Hot roll bonding is a commonly used process in our stainless steel clad plate factory. During this process, clean sheets of carbon steel and stainless steel are placed on each other, (single-sided cladding), or sandwiched between two stainless steel sheets (double-sided cladding). The composite sheets are hot rolled together.
The stainless steel cladding process results in a bond between the two metals. Another manufacturing method is explosive bonding. The metals bond during the explosion due to the plastic deformation of the strong collision. Explosive bonding after the hot rolling process can improve the bond between carbon steel and stainless steel.
Duplex stainless steel has higher strength, higher corrosion resistance and lower price. The thickness of the sheet can be reduced to maintain strength, so it can be used to make structural units such as pressure vessels, chemical storage tanks, bridges, hot water tanks and processing plants. In recent years, storage equipment and industrial storage tanks in the paper industry, sugar industry, have adopted stainless steel clad plates.
